5, 2008 --- Steve Barnett reached victory lane for the first time
in the young 2008 racing season on Saturday night, May 3 at the Brownstown
Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana! Steve, aboard his Tony Stewart Racing / J.D.
Byrider #20 C.J. Rayburn Crate Late Model, finished second in his heat race
despite a flat tire to earn the fourth starting spot for the A-Main. The driver
known as the "Franklin Flyer" then ran a great race and worked his
way around leader Mark Barber with about five laps remaining to pick up the

"FRANKLIN FLYER" IN ACTION AT TALLADEGA SHORT TRACK...
APRIL
28, 2008 --- The Steve Barnett Racing team trekked south to the
Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on April 25-26 for a pair of Dirt
Late Model events. Steve Barnett qualified seventeenth quickest on Friday
night, April 25, which locked him into the $2,000 to win feature event. After
starting from the inside of the ninth row for the A-Main, the Franklin, Indiana
native made a few laps before returning pitside with a DNF.
On Saturday evening, April 26, the cars and stars of the O'Reilly Southern Allstars Series (OSAS) rolled into the track deemed as the "Hornet's Nest." Steve competed in OSAS qualifying for the $5,000 to win event, but then the rains came. With off and on showers delaying the program, Steve made the decision to leave the track and head back home; therefore, foregoing the rest of the show. BARNETT THIRD AT TWIN CITIES; BROWNSTOWN RAINED OUT...
APRIL 21, 2008 --- Steve Barnett and his #89 team had a pair of O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass Dirtcar Series shows on their radar last weekend in the Hoosier State of Indiana. On Friday night, April 18, the Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, Indiana played host to a $3,000 to win race. Steve ran third in his competitive heat race, which enabled the Franklin, Indiana driver the opportunity to start ninth on the grid for the 40-lap main event. The "Franklin Flyer" was then able to pass six cars during the course of the A-Main en route to a solid third place performance behind winner Justin Rattliff and runner-up Don O'Neal.
The $3,000 to win 'Hoosier Dirt Classic' scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana was then rained out and rescheduled for May 10. You can view complete results from Twin Cities last Friday night online at www.twincitiesracing.net!

16, 2008 --- Following a weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition
due to Mother Nature, the Steve Barnett Racing team is planning on entering
a pair of O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass Dirtcar Series shows on April 18
& 19. The Twin Cities Raceway Park in Vernon, Indiana will kick things
off on Friday, April 18. A $3,000 to win show is planned on Friday evening
at the southern Indiana speedplant.
The action will then travel down Highway 50 on Saturday, April 19 to the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. The 25th edition of the 'Hoosier Dirt Classic' will take place on Saturday night at the famed 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval and another $3,000 payday awaits the victor.
